Ruthann Schulman Baler is a singer-songwriter whose songs have been described as a blend of pop and folk, with blues and country undertones.  She released her first album “Life on Mars” in 2009, and released “Rivers & Trains” this year. 

Rivers & Trains is a 10-track album that features rivers, trains, and roads as the symbolic channels through life’s changes.  

Band members are: Sam Baler (lead guitar & keyboard),  Joe Fredette (rhythm and lead guitar), Mike Carlucci (drums), Chris Joyce (keyboard), Dave Roberts (bass), and Rich Delvecchio (banjo). Strike a Chord  

In addition to performing throughout the Boston area, Ruthann founded Strike a Chord Concerts for Charity in 2007, which brings together musicians for benefit concerts that support area non-profit organizations. Funds have been raised for the Home for Little Wanderers, Art Because Breast Cancer Foundation, School on Wheels, Rosie's Place, Ben Speaks Louder Than Words, and the Gulf 2 Fund in Holliston, which sent weekly care packages to local troops serving overseas.
